To give ourselves completely to today is such a valuable goal. Itβs really the only thing to do, but God, itβs difficult! Iβm glad you are learning to do it. I am trying my best to do this too. I get better at it with age, for sure. Hoping for best news for you.
Your garden is such a great teacher. I don't think I'll ever look at a day lily in quite the same way again. Sending love for the days of waiting ahead. X
I donβt have big words for this one. Just a hand on your shoulder and the simple truth that your writing carries strength.
I want to stand beside you in the garden while you wait for news no one wants to wait for. I donβt do speeches. I do presence. I do human. I do that quietβsteady thing that feels like someone sitting next to you on the porch, not talking unless needed.
The way you allowed the day lilies to speak into this season of waiting is both beautiful and courageous. You reminded me that uncertainty does not mean life has stoppedβit means we are being invited to meet today more fully.
I am praying for you as you wait, trusting that God is already present in every unanswered question and every unseen place beneath the surface. Just like those lilies, you may not always see what is happening, but you have never stopped growing. Your strength, honesty, and grace are blooming even here.
You are not walking through this alone, my sister. I am beside you in heart and prayer, one day and one bloom at a time. Today is enough, and so are you. ππ€πΈ
What came through for me was poignancy and a sense of complete surrender to this day, this life, regardless of its contents. Thank you for this. I will be revisiting it.
This was really beautiful...and meant a lot to me, since my husband is a serious day lily grower, and every July the back garden (and the front) is ablaze with 280 different colors of lilies. We were married standing amidst them. Now that he's older, he's cut back to about 75 plants, but they still are a marvel every summer. Your descriptions are lovely and accurate. And I do hope that you either recover or still live a long time. Please keep in touch....and blessings on you.
your comment is lovely, I would love to see a photo of your garden. My lilies come back year after year. They are such special flowers. Thank you for your kind thoughts

It is good that you have not allowed this condition to weigh you down. You will overcome this not in your own strength but in God who never fails.

Youβre not alone in this waiting.
